Feedback for Configuring IP-per-Container in Virtual Networks

Description

Source: https://dcos.io/docs/1.8/administration/overlay-networks/ip-per-container/

Please let me know while creating Virtual network what does vtep_subnet and vtep_mac_oui means. I am installing DC/OS in my laptop and also in my company's physical test cluster.
So advise for both the scenarios.

dcos_overlay_network:
vtep_subnet: 44.128.0.0/20
vtep_mac_oui: 70:B35:00:00:00
overlays:

  • name: dcos
    subnet: 9.0.0.0/8
    prefix: 26

the `vtep_subnet` and `vtep_mac_oui` are used to select an IP address and the MAC address for the VTEP interface that is installed on the node. The overlay runs on top of a VxLAN backend.

You can go through the design doc, given in this link to understand this better:

Think we've answered this. users@dcos.io or DC/OS Community Slack would be the best forum for further questions.

Thanks!
